Multirace Statewide Ranking System
Multirace has created a new Statewide Rankings System so athletes from across the state can see who’s the best of the best. Regardless of where you live or what races you prefer to race in, this rankings system will give all Florida athletes a chance to measure themselves against all Florida Triathletes and Duathletes.

How it works:
The Multirace Statewide Ranking System gives the average time for each sprint event 100 points (the points base). Your points will be the average time (in seconds) multiplied by 100, then divided by your time (in seconds). If you are faster than the average time, then you will have more than 100 points. This allows us to get a consistent points system that isn’t affected by the number of participants in a particular event or by the time of the overall winner, which can vary greatly depending on who shows up.
Longer races have a higher points base since the average ability of athletes competing in longer distances is higher. Olympic and International distance races have a points base of 108, Miami Man International has a base of 110 points, and Miami Man Half Iron distance has a points base of 120.
If you race in multiple categories throughout the series, your series points will apply to the hardest category that you raced in. The categories from hardest to easiest are: (Elite, Age Group, Clydesdale 185, Clydesdale 200, Clydesdale 225, Athena, Fat Tire).
Each athlete’s highest 3 point scores from the individual events will count towards their rankings total. Since your 3 highest point totals are used, your standings are generally better the more events that you compete in.
